Live Music!
The 2025 event featured a great mix of live music throughout the day! Bill D. opened with a guitar solo, followed by Scott Nisley on piano, The Everyday Film, and Ray Chris with recovery rap. Kensington Choir closed out the lineup with their high-energy rock favorites. From acoustic music to rock to recovery rap, there was something different to enjoy at every turn!
Food!
There was no shortage of good food! Guests enjoyed a hearty spread of burgers, hot dogs, classic sides, and a whole spit-roasted pig, followed by a dessert table packed with sweet treats. With plenty of coffee flowing throughout the day, everyone had plenty of fuel for all the fellowship, activities, and fun. Good food, great company, and full plates made it a meal to remember!
Fun and Fellowship!
Freedom Fire XIII had plenty of ways to have some fun between all the other festivities. Three tarot readers were on hand, along with the photo booth and bonfire for anyone looking to relax or hang out with friends. We also held two raffles, including a $500 Amazon gift card raffle and a separate 50/50 raffle. Whether you joined in on the activities or just kicked back and enjoyed the day, there was no shortage of good times and good company!
Guest Speaker
For our 2025 event, we welcomed Al B. from West Virginia, who brought more than 40 years of sobriety and experience to the microphone. Al shared his journey through recovery, offering a powerful message of what his life was like, what happened, and what life is like today. His story resonated with our fellowship and made for a memorable and inspiring speaker meeting. We were truly grateful to have Al with us!
