March Hope News

…and what’s coming in April

Dear Hope Family,

Whether you are a regular at Hope on Girard or just joining us by way of our website, WELCOME!

No shortage of Sober Activities in the month of March for the gang at Hope!

On March 2nd, we showed up for the second of this year’s six Dining with Dignity Commitments.

This commitment was Sponsored by

Venezuelan Restaurant
located in Haddon Twp., NJ.

Please email erika@hopeongirard.com if you, your organization or business is interested in sponsoring any future Dining with Dignity events.

Our commitment started on Friday night with assembling 125 bagged lunches.

The gang has a way of making the work look fun!

Getting in to the groove!

Then an early morning start at St. Mark’s Church in Frankford to feed our guests.

This is one of the most rewarding things we’ve done to date with our Hope gang.

Then Christine and Scotty always give us a memorable tour of the 191 year old Parish.

Having the privilege to tour this exceptional church and hear about the great work St. Mark’s does is always a treat!

On March 9th Hope held Drag Karaoke. It’s always a crowd favorite!

Between performances from The reigning Ms. Kensington, Ms. North Philly, and Ken U. Knot, the crowd participated with their own talent!!

We at Hope pride ourselves in being inclusive to all, we mix into a beautiful bunch!

In March we were also gifted with a beautiful backsplash by one of our talented Hope family members, who took time out of his day to work at Hope. Thanks so much!

Our members take pride in beautifying the space.

On Saturday March 16th, the Hope gang took a road trip to South Philly to celebrate Sepia’s 84th Anniversary. We enjoyed food, fun and fellowship.

On March 23, We got the band back together! The Hope Jam Band, Kensington Choir, took the floor at Open Mic night for a Philly Young People’s event.

Such a fun night! Music has proven to be something our Hope gang enjoys sharing so much!

On Sunday, March 31st, Hope hosted a beautiful Easter dinner for the group. Sharing meals are very special to us at Hope 😊

Thank you to Tom and everyone else who spent their time and resources to make Easter dinner such a beautiful experience for all.
