Another month packed with fun and fellowship for the gang at Hope…see the highlights below.
Fun was had by all on February 3rd, when Hope on Girard took it’s first bus trip, Snow Tubing in Scranton, Pa.
We had a total of 55 people on the mountain!
We had the classiest school bus in town!
There were almost enough seats for everyone! Little glitch, lol but we made it work.
One quick snack stop
Then it was time to get down to business!

After tubing, we enjoyed music and food inside the lodge at Montage Mountain.
A Friendly take-over on the floor of the Lodge was in order.
On February 10th , We held Board Game Night for our Second Saturday event… a crowd favorite
Pictionary, and other games offered a night of serious belly laughs! 🤣

On Sunday, February 11th, we had our annual Super Bowl Party, yes, it was a big weekend at Hope!

On February 17th Hope had the honor of being part of this beautiful event, Unity Night.
This year’s Unity Night was organized by volunteers representing the area’s six Recovery clubhouses. This event had a successful 2 year run in 2015 and 2016. Hope on Girard was excited and honored to be part of bringing this event back to the Philadelphia Recovery community.
Our team came out in force! Tom led Hope’s kitchen commitment with precision and timing.
The night included 3 Speakers, food and music. It’s purpose was to promote Unity between people who practice their Recovery in various areas of the city. It was an opportunity to meet new people and have a fun sober night - mission was accomplished.
February 5th was a special night when we reflected on the loss of our dear friend and brother Walter Kowal.
Our members created a beautiful candlelit dedication to our Walter.
We poured through a slideshow of memorable times with our friend and remembered the gratitude for the time we had with him.
It’s been a long year without him. We continue our work in his memory.
February 25th marked the first Sunday of the Rolling in Recovery Bowling League in New Jersey.
